I had horrifying arbitrage results this month. My daily average on AS was only $11.97, and I made 8 cents on my lowest day. The worst days were the 4th to the 7th, with the lowest earnings I have seen in awhile. Not quite sure what happened, but the second half of the month seems to have done much better than the first with a high day of $23.39.

I really don’t look at or optimize my campaigns anymore, and probably would have caught this sooner if I did.

My net earnings and spread are both down. Will have to fix that for this month.

March Arbitrage and Affiliate Results

As you can see (it’s been nearly a month since my last post), I did a whole lotta nothing with my Make Money Online efforts since the first week of March. It’s just been a busy few weeks. Still, I made a bit of money. Here are my March Results:

Revenue

Google Adsense: $289.45

Cafepress: $50.56

Linkshare: $40.27

Clickbank: $17.99

Amazon: $8.64

Total: $406.91

Total Net: $238.51

So, I made about $2.42 for every $1 spent. Compare to my February Results, where I made about $1.83 on for every $1 spent.

In total I put in about five hours in March, compared to a lot more in January and February.

Performance Bonus (BETA)

What is the Performance Bonus Beta?

The performance bonus pays extra cash for page views to all your published content. This is in addition to any initial cash bid upon submission and all content submitted is eligible to receive this bonus whether submitted for pay or not.

When does it start?

The Performance Bonus beta starts March 9th and payments for February performance will begin on March 15th.

How does the Program Work?

Participants of the beta Performance Bonus will receive and initial PPM rate $1.50. That is, for every 1000 page views of your AC content you will receive $1.50. For example, 20,000 page views X $1.50 = a $30.00 bonus!. Payment is sent every month to all accounts with a balance of $15 or more. Balances less then $15 are rolled over to the next monthly pay period.

What is the earning potential?

Earnings are proportionate to the quality of your content. The better your content is the better it performs and the more you will earn! Content Producers continue to earn a performance bonus on all content so long as they remain active. So submit lots of content and promote your content to your friends, family, AC buddies, blogs and everywhere else you can think of. How do I sign up?

Easy! You must be a registered AC Content Producer, 18 or older, and agree to the Performance Bonus beta terms and conditions. To remain eligible you must be an active Content Producer; simply log into your CP account at least once every 90 days.

Feb 07 – My Actual Numbers Pt 2 (Affiliate)

For my affiliate adventures, I used a combination of Chris Mckeeney’s methods, Andre Chaperon’s methods, and Keyword Elite. I also used Adsense and Yahoo! Search Marketing. The products I sold were through Linkshare, Clickbank, and Cafepress. Here’s how it turned out:

Niche #1 – Campaign #1

Clickbank: $75.54 (3 of one product, 1 of another product)
YSM: $93.25
Net: -$17.71 (lousy)

Niche #1 – Campaign #2

Linkshare: $80.83 (various products from the same line)
Adwords: $80
Net: $0.83 (double lousy!)

Ok, so what we’ve learned is that people do make purchases through these links, but there has to be a way to cut costs or increase spend to make money.

Niche #2 – Campaign #1

This piggybacks on the AW spend from Campaign #2 from my February Arbitrage Overview.

Cafepress Store + Affiliate Sales: $59.26
Adwords: $1.33
Net: $59.26 (Adwords spend already accounted for in the previous post)

So, my Affiliate programs, generally speaking, didn’t work out as well as my Aribtrage campaigns did. Still, overall I just about doubled my money.

Here’s the full breakdown:

Again, no untold riches yet, but I’ll definitely take it!

Feb 07 – My Actual Numbers Pt 1 (Arbitrage)

One thing I’ve noticed since I’ve gotten into this internet marketing thing is that it seems like the only people who reveal actual numbers are the people who are making thousands per month. Most of the “little guys” may say “I’m making money” or give a range, but I see few actual numbers.

Well, I’m going to share mine in the hopes that people will get a realistic view of how things work for an average Josie.

I started Adsense Arbitrage in January of this year, and here’s how things worked out for me in month two (February 07), using Keyword Elite along with Micheal Plante’s methods:

Niche #1 – Campaign #1:

This site has been around for a couple of months, has pretty good serp presence, and a few backlinks including one on my main site (Campaign #2). I did a fair amount of bulletin advertising on Myspace, and a couple of Yahoo groups. The content is user driven.

Adwords: $27.75 (1,098 clicks)
Adsense: $88.46 (70,514 page impressions / 758 clicks)
Net: $60.71

Niche #1 – Campaign #2:

This site has been around for about three years, has good serp presence, and a good number of backlinks. I did a small amount of advertising on Myspace. The content is original combined with free articles.

Adwords: $1.33 (33 clicks)
Adsense: $63.44 (43,948 page impressions / 507 clicks)
Net: $62.11

Niche #1 – Campaign #3:

This site has been around for about three weeks. I don’t think it has much in terms of backlinks or serps. I’ve advertised it a little on Myspace. The content is original. I’ve been running the campaign for a few days, maybe a week.

Adwords: $2.95 (78 clicks)
Adsense: $3.03 (1,673 page impressions / 29 clicks)
Net: $.08 (sucks!)

Campaign #2 is a company site through which I also sell products. I run affiliate programs via all three sites. More on that later…

As I was saying…

So, my overall investment into these three campaigns for February was $32.03, and my revenue was $125.85 for a net of $93.82 and a spread of about 1:4 (1 cent spent, 4 cents earned). Micheal Plante’s spread was 1:3 in his 34 day experiment, where he spent $1500 and made $4500. So, my plan for March is to increase my investment and see what happens.

Constant Contact – $30 Credit For Referrals

I think this is a pretty good offer, and they have an easy to use form to email your business contacts with the info. If you really do use Constant Contact and like the system, this may work for you. Note that the $30 is a credit to your account, not actual cash, but just as good if you’re already using them IMO.
