Feb 07 – My Actual Numbers Pt 2 (Affiliate)

For my affiliate adventures, I used a combination of Chris Mckeeney’s methods, Andre Chaperon’s methods, and Keyword Elite. I also used Adsense and Yahoo! Search Marketing. The products I sold were through Linkshare, Clickbank, and Cafepress. Here’s how it turned out:

Niche #1 – Campaign #1

Clickbank: $75.54 (3 of one product, 1 of another product)
YSM: $93.25
Net: -$17.71 (lousy)

Niche #1 – Campaign #2

Linkshare: $80.83 (various products from the same line)
Adwords: $80
Net: $0.83 (double lousy!)

Ok, so what we’ve learned is that people do make purchases through these links, but there has to be a way to cut costs or increase spend to make money.

Niche #2 – Campaign #1

This piggybacks on the AW spend from Campaign #2 from my February Arbitrage Overview.

Cafepress Store + Affiliate Sales: $59.26
Adwords: $1.33
Net: $59.26 (Adwords spend already accounted for in the previous post)

So, my Affiliate programs, generally speaking, didn’t work out as well as my Aribtrage campaigns did. Still, overall I just about doubled my money.

Here’s the full breakdown:

Adwords - $144.45
YSM – $93.25

Total: $237.70

Revenue

Adsense - $168.33
Clickbank – $109.07
Linkshare – $80.83
Cafepress – $59.26
Associated Content – $14.22
Amazon - $4.14

Total – $435.85

Total Net: $198.15

There is a campaign or two I haven’t outlined in my results because they’re pretty negligible in terms of loss or gain – I have included those results in my “full breakdown” numbers above.

Again, no untold riches yet, but I’ll definitely take it!
